    PLEASE NOTE:
If we spoke in person, or by other means of communication
and you have NOT YET filled out a request form
for the tattoo we have just booked.
Please fill out the form in the link below as it helps me to stay organized when I look for your apt/tattoo information so that I can then prepare for your apt. Having to recall from memory, or look for conversations outside of my emails becomes tedious and difficult with all the bookings happening each week/month

There is a $75 minimum fee to reserve an appointment in my schedule. This is non-refundable should you cancel/wish to reschedule with less than 72 hours prior to your appointment reservation This fee would be forfeit and a new fee will be required to rebook. ‘ Payable via e-transfer christine@inkisart.ca If you do not cancel/reschedule, I do deduct this from your tattoo cost once the tattoo is completed on the scheduled tattoo date. this fee is essentially a retainer or booking fee that is required to confirm your booking. Once you send your payment-your apt is confirmed, The date and time booked for your apt is yours. It is non-refundable. Should you need to reschedule your apt due to scheduling conflict please let me know asap. There is a 1 time reschedule allowance per tattoo. should you request to reschedule your apt with less than 3 business days prior to your apt your fee may be forfeited so please let me know asap. Not showing up to your apt or contacting me the day of or the night before your apt.is considered a no-show, I do have the right to refuse to rebook you again. Should you require to move your apt more than once this is negligence to keep your apt and the retainer is forfeited to book another appointment a new fee would be required. Unfortunately this has become problematic and I am having to be more strict these days. Why is it non-refundable? it is used to secure/reserve and hold your appointment time that you reserved with me. It will be deducted from the total of your balance once the tattoo is completed. Remember it is your responsibility to keep this apt. Should you require to move this apt A new retainer or booking fee will be required to book again. Please click yes if you understand

you understand getting a tattoo is a minor surgical procedure, which involves making small cuts with an applicator that contains sharp instruments and embedding permanent ink into the skin layers. For this reason, there is a risk of infection . Some parts of the body are at greater risk than others, hands and feet or the closer to them especially some people are at higher risk people with weak immune system‘s and diabetes So it is important to prepare before getting a tattoo. Please ensure you understand the aftercare commitment and requirements that are expected by you once you leave the studio, it’s YOUR responsibility to take care of YOUR tattoo how it feels and how it looks from the moment you leave is your responsibility since I am not your mom to be sure you do as required. please ensure you keep your tattoo clean and dry for the first 3 to 5 days you will need to clean your tattoo every few hours (every 5 ) to clean away any buildup of plasma blood that may be present, removing dust and germs that it may have been in contact with during the day, putting a dry with disposable paper towel, after a few hours or when the plasma stops and it is burning/stinging - the skin is tight and dry to the touch, then you can apply very light application of moisturizer some is provided but feel free to use any unscented soap and or lotion that you prefer when I mean light, I mean as little as possible only as often as needed during the day - you must ensure that you avoid submerging your tattoo in any water - you can shower but keep the water to a minimum that comes in contact with your tattoo. Remember if you live in a rural areas that water in your tap is not suitable for cleaning your wound as it may have trace amounts of bacteria, and could cause infection , it’s recommended to have clean bottled water or boiled sterile water available for cleaning your tattoo Swimming in any kind of water is not recommended as it’s emerging your tattoo would risk infection weather at the lake, ocean saltwater, or chlorine. - please click yes but you understand

infection can happen anytime especially during the first week post tattoo application when the wound is fresh. Symptoms include increasing pain swelling and irritation. Redness , Small bumps/pimples and excessive weeping beyond 10-12 hours. If you experience these symptoms please seek medical care from a healthcare provider or walk in clinic. I am unable legally to advise you of anything otherwise. if you contact me I will only repeat this as urgent. If you think something is wrong, better safe to check with your dr as soon as possible, than hold off and wait - Better to be sure nothing is wrong - than wait and then have something be really wrong - hope that makes sense. So seek medical care before consulting/contacting me- if caught in time- damages to your tattoo can be prevented!

Submerging your tattoo wound in any kind of water is not allowed as standing bodies of water can have bacteria and germs and increase risk of infection. Not to mention chlorine and salt water can literally wash/flush out your fresh tattoo and make the ink push out. soaking/ submerging your fresh tattoo wound in water of any kind can cause irreversible damages to your tattoo as it heals- if done before 30 days of healing can make the tattoo look dull and faded. Keep this in mind especially if you get coloured tattoos. Please click yes if you understand and agree

Direct Sunlight exposure should be avoided. For the next four weeks minimum sunlight could cause burns to the very sensitive skin within the healing layers of the new skin your tattoo has been implanted. which can impact how your tattoo heals it could push /reject the ink out, possibly causing the tattoo to swell, and possibly blister. It’s extremely sensitive for the next three - 4 months months you cannot use sunscreen for a minimum of 30 days after it has been done - as this is a chemical that can also harm and irritate the skin within your tattoo- so please seek alternative ways to protect your new tattoo from the sun and it’s UVrays. - Excessive sun exposure is also a major reason to tattoos fading and aging prematurely- as your body’s immune system will try to correct the sun damage it will also fight and destroy anything that also shouldn’t be there - keeping your tattoo covered to protect it against the suns UV rays and sun damage is the best choice for the tattoo life expectancy however not always possible, a good quality sun block for tattoos is recommended. At least spf 60 reapplied as often as the bottle suggests. please click yes that you understand

Alcohol and caffeine and some medication’s like Tylenol, Advil, morphine can increase bleeding as does some other prescriptions such as NSAIDs and some prescription narcotics it’s best to refrain refrain from these for 24 hours before and afterwards marijuana - although is used for pain etc. can increase anxiety and pain during the tattoo process. It’s great for after but best to only take after your tattoo procedure. Please click yes that you understand.

Like previous mentioned before this is considered a minor surgical procedure it’s more invasive than most of which you get done at the dentist so your health is important to me as it helps ensure you heal appropriately and reduces risks of rejection and infection, and any other possible complications if you were sick or unwell for any reason, especially cold or flu please be kind and stay home, but if you were troubleshooting other medical issues and are going through surgeries, and it’s best to wait and let your body heal and figure out that stuff before we put you through the strain of a tattoo I say this because even though things are OK now doesn’t mean things can’t and won’t change before your tattoo appointment. Should you need to reschedule for these reasons please let me know I’m on your side and your health and quality of how your tattoo will kill is impacted by these factors so I have no issues please click yes that you Please click yes that you understand

Just like I requested about your health and skin needing to be in top health now I need you to come on a full tummy. Adrenaline is the thing that help for a pain free tattoo —and Food is its fuel . If you have no fuel to keep it running, then you will indeed feel pain however, if you bring snacks easily to be eaten during the tattoo process refuelling as we go, then it will help your endurance and keeping the pain down. If you don’t have any fuel in your tank, there is a risk that you will go into shock and possibly pass out, which may require a 911 call it is not very likely, but better to be prepared than not. It’s advised you bring a sugary drink, and a high carb easy to eat snack or two to keep your energy up during the tattoo. Please click yes that you understand.

I prefer to shave you myself, since it’s possible to cause nicks and cuts or razor burn, which would then result in rescheduling an appointment. If you insist on thinning the hair prior to coming, please use buzzers and trim it down a little or get it waxed a few days prior, but I still will be shaving you once you arrive hair grows at a rapid rate and is growing by the minute, it also carries a lot of germs, dust and debris, which is the purpose of your body hair because we don’t want any of that in your tattoo it needs to be removed just prior to the procedure. cuts scratches mosquito bites, pimples burns, including sunburns, and rashes. Please take note I cannot tattoo you no matter how small they may be. Please be sure to measure they are not within 6 inches of the tattoo zone if you’re not sure place, your hand beside the affected area, closest to your tattoo, and if your hand touches the tattoos ozone then you may be responsible to look at a different placement. If that is not an option, then you may need to reschedule keep in mind the reservation fee is non-transferable to a new date if less than 72 hours prior to your appointment, so please protect your tattoo zone! any changes or modifications after i begin to design. may result in a forfeit of your appointment (and Booking Fee). should your concept also change. this also may forfeit your appointment (and booking fee) as a new concept may take more/or less time in the chair and attention to prepare for the tattoo appointment. Please understand that the time I have set aside for your tattoo apt is for the design you just reserved my time for. If you change your design to be less than the minimum time you have reserved you will be required to still pay for that minimum time. The image you’re presented with is a digital composition of your design depending on your devices settings, it may distort colours and the appearance - and it is in fact NoT going to 100% look like that on your skin your skin is not backlit or LED . So colours will look different depending on your skin complexion. And sometimes colour choices will vary because of your skin complexion and what works best and makes a tattoo, the most visible I often go with lighter versus darker as I can add not take away. If you look at your design from your phone, you also are distorting how it seen as you will not see the full image and details please keep in mind and he design changes modifications will be discussed in a consultation prior to commencing with your actual tattoo appointment. Please double check spelling and be sure of it’s location before we commence tattooing or it will be too late. you understand that once I begin the tattoo, you are responsible and liable for the outcome should you notice mistakes or are unhappy with any design elements they must be mentioned prior to Tattooing as they cannot be undone. Any corrections modifications, additions requested once the Tattoo is completed is billable at the hourly rate Cover up tattoos -or reworking a current tattoo often require hands on in person creative flow on the day of your appointment to finalize tweaks and changes to a design. sometimes its not possible to send a rendering. PLEASE NOTE; if you seem indecisive, or making many design changes or seem to be difficult to work with, to name a few circumstances I do have the right to refuse continued services with you. This would forfeit your booking fee as by this point I would have already drawn several designs for you. I do try to be as patient as possible, while this is a permanent decision not to be taken lightly, your satisfaction with your tattoo is very important to me and I will try everything possible to work with you- but there have been times when I begin to doubt the commitment of the tattoo, or we may have personality conflicts that impact my ability understand your needs and or to be comfortable working with you as the client. Once your tattoo is completed, it takes 3- 4 months to complete.. you are responsible for healing the tattoo it should look exactly as it does from day one just a little less red and irritated. Sometimes during healing cracking from under moisturizing / over moisturizer or the tattoo looking faded is from over moisturizing/excessive weeping, not continuing aftercare the full minimum of 4-6 weeks - and also be caused by clothing coming in contact and causing damage - these damages during the healing process are unfortunate causes of neglect to the tattoo- These are not covered by the tattoo touchup guarantee however, if once healed, there is imperfections, as in wiggly lines, parts of the tattoo aren’t fully coloured (not missing from cracking and peeling or rubbing off) or you feel, some thing is incorrect from the application I did - these would be present in the photo I take once your tattoo is completed.. a free touchup may then be granted within six months anything after that timeline is outside the warranty timeline and the hourly rate applies for touch-ups What is a touch up? A touch up is when there is something requiring adjustment from the time of application - missing from the original design- or appears incorrect at the time the tattoo is completed. Which is one reason I take photos of your tattoo- As your artist I diligently try to make sure your tattoo is perfect the first time. However some things can arise and the ink may not fully saturate an area, or lines may not connect (overseen by bleeding/swelling) should these imperfections happen at artist technique it is 100% warrantied- please contact me within 6 months of your apt to schedule your touch up and fix those imperfections. Imperfections that appear during the healing are an affect of your aftercare - touch ups for this will be at my hourly rate. If your tattoo after 1 year has faded considerably there are many factors for this beyond my application and the 2-3 month healing window- anything beyond that is your body’s rejection- your health, immune response and or simply result from sun and water exposure, dry skin, and some medications etc. reworking a tattoo older than 1 year is subject to my hourly rate. (Please don’t expect free touch ups as it is using supplies and products and the tattoo artists time which are valuable. It’s always best to pay for your services rendered and support your local artist. ) Please click yes that you understand

General aftercare is as follows, You must keep the tattoo area clean and dry for the first 3-5 days avoiding any activity that you may come in contact with germs dirt or excessive moisture.. you will be washing the tattoo 3 times daily minimum with antibacterial soap and water during this time. clean away plasma/blood and any dirt/germ. Drying the area with paper towels and applying moisturizer as needed throughout the day as directed. . it should start to peel in 5-7 days but you must continue to moisturize 2x daily for min for min 30 days - regular care is moisturizing daily afterwards for life Written instructions will be provided. If aftercare is followed as per instructed. Your tattoo should heal and look as perfect as the day you got it should imperfections happen during healing - scabs pick/peel off prematurely removing ink with ibleeding excessively/infection . These will cause damages and could make your tattoo look terrible, faded, and dull. This is often a result of poor aftercare. - not tattoo application. this type of touch up is the artists discretion to warranty or not. Depending on how much damage is needed to be repaired. A touch up charge might be applied my discretion.

In the past there have been some inappropriate behaviour that has impacted my comfortably insults, threats,,derogatory comments are not tolerated. And you may be asked to leave immediately there are some circumstances during a tattoo where some people who are not able to tolerate the discomfort become extremely loud, thrash and jolt, hit/swat and become difficult to work with. To protect myself from injury (which does happen😳) I may suggest we end the session to another date so that you can prepare adequately and control such behaviour.
